Perfect

“Where are you?!” you shriek, looking around frantically as your boyfriend has been missing for the past five minutes.

Thunder roars above your head and the heavy downpour of rain causes you to shiver.

“Why didn’t I wear a jacket?” you mutter to no one, hugging yourself as the rain drenches your thin sweater.

“Because you refuse to listen to me.”

You jump, startled by a voice coming from behind you.

Looking at a figure coming out from behind a tree, you recognize him and glare.

“I was looking for you!”

“I know. I heard you,” he smirks.

“I’m going to kill you.”

“No, you’re not because you love me too much,” he smiles, brushing his hand through his waterlogged curls.

“You had better have a good reason for abandoning me out here all alone.”

“I don’t know,” he shrugs. “I just thought it was funny.”

Your jaw drops as you stare at him, wanting to pick up a clod of dirt and chuck it at him.

“Why did you even take me out of here if you were just going to make me drown in all this rain?” you ask, your voice cracking as the cold in the air starts to take its toll.

“I had a surprise for you,” he says excitedly, jumping to your side and wrapping his arm around you.

Your anger dwindles down you find yourself relaxing into him, his body surprisingly warm.

Leading you carefully through the trees, he pushes random branches out of the way and you smile.

“Thanks,” you laugh, “you’re such a gentleman.”

He shrugs and laughs with you, “I try, I try.”

You walk a little further and you notice the house behind you is slowly fading away and into the fog.

“I can barely see your grandma’s house,” you say, your voice shaking as you look over your shoulder. “Really, where are we going?”

“It’s a surprise, now shh…” he answers, glaring at you softly.

Biting your lip, you follow him as he leads into a darker area of the woods.

The rain slows to a steady pace, but the freezing temperature continues to sting your cheeks.

“I-I don’t feel really comfortable about this.”

“Just calm down; it’s going to be fine. It’s not like I’m going to hurt you or anything.”

“Your grandma’s going to wonder where we are, Kevin,” you say sternly. “Then she’s going to tell your mother and we’ll both be in trouble.”

Your eyes are still locked in the direction of the house, though it’s been gone from your sight since a few yards away.

“We’re here,” he says, smiling as he steps away from you.

“Here… where?” you ask, looking at what he’s looking at. “This is a shed, Kevin. Like, one of the kinds that you see in a poorly-written horror movie.”

“No, that’s not it,” he says, aggravated. “Look inside.”

He winks at you before pointing towards the rickety door that’s practically hanging off of the door.

The rainwater seeps through your sweater and shirt and you feel the icicles on your spine.

With only slight hesitation, you walk towards the shed.

“Wait!” he calls after you.

“What, Kevin?!” you say, sounding angrier than you meant.

“Take off your grimy shoes.”

Rolling your eyes, you kick off your muddy tennis shoes and set them neatly on the ground, frowning as you see the rainwater beginning to fill it.

“Okay, you’re set,” he smiles, anxiously bouncing on his feet.

You slowly turn the doorknob, peering into the shed to see what’s inside.

Opening the door to the widest it could go, your eyes widen at the sight before you.

Lit candles string the rather spacious shed and you see a blanket on the floor.

A picnic blanket is on top of it, along with a small boom box.

“W-What is this?” you ask, your hand searching for Kevin’s.

He kisses you lightly on the cheek, wrapping his arms around your waist from behind.

“Happy anniversary,” he whispers, smiling against your skin.

“Anni—Anniversary! Oh my God, you remembered!”

You turn and hug him, taking in the scent of his cologne mixing in with the rain.

“Thank you,” you say into his neck, “thank you so much for this, Kevin.”

His arms tighten around you and he walks you backwards, into a randomly placed wash basin.

He gestures for you to sit down on the blanket and you oblige.

You sneak a peek into the picnic blanket, squealing in excitement as you see all of your favorite foods inside of it.

“Kevin, this is amazing!” you smile. “The candles, the picnic, the… everything; it’s all perfect.”

“Not as perfect as you,” he says, sitting down across from you.

Taking out a slice of chocolate cake, he takes off the plastic around it and hands you the plate and a fork.

“You like this, right?” he asks.

“Yes,” you laugh, “it’s chocolate. Of course I like it.”

“Thank you for coming up here with me,” he says, rubbing his hands together.

“It’s no problem, baby.”

“No, really. You didn’t have to come, but you did. You have no idea how much I appreciate that.”

“Your grandma needed help and you volunteered. I didn’t want you to be alone and I wanted to help you with your grandma. Really, it’s no problem.”

“Nevertheless, I’m glad I have a girlfriend as amazing as you.”

You smile at his words, feeling a blush creeping onto your cheeks.

“And no boyfriend could ever compare to you.”

You take a chunk of the chocolate cake and steady it on the fork before shoving it towards him.

“Bite,” you say playfully.

He jumps, trying to dodge the fork.

“Um, hey, I need my eyes, thank you very much.”

“Bite!” you demand, the cake beginning to wobble off of the fork.

Kevin’s eyes watch as it shakes from side to side and he takes the bite.

“Wow,” he coughs, chewing as best he can, “are you trying to kill me or something?”

“It’s good, right?”

“I know,” he says smugly, “I baked it for you.”

“You have, um…”

“What?”

You bite your lip, holding your finger to the corner of your mouth.

“There.”

“Here?” he asks, pointing to the opposite side of his mouth.

“No—here, let me get it.”

You move the picnic basket out of the way and place the cake on a shelf behind you.

Placing your mouth over the chocolate, you take his top lip in yours and lick away the chocolate.

“There,” you smile, brushing your thumb over his lips.

Kevin looks at you, his eyes looking into yours as his lips reattach to yours.

You close your eyes, tasting the small amount of chocolate that’s left on his lips.

“Mm, you taste good,” you breathe, his hands fumbling to remove your sweater.

You help him, throwing your sweater over his shoulder before wrapping your arms around his neck and kissing him again.

His hands travel under your shirt and his fingers are unbelievably warm.

Moving your body so you’re straddling him, his hands travel to your belt buckle and you find yourself stopping him.

Pausing to look at him, you see the desire in his eyes.

“Kevin, what do you want, baby?”

“You… y-you’re all I want.”

“Me? Here? Right now?” you ask between kisses, taking his bottom lip between your teeth.

“Yes, right now.”

You feel the heat beginning to radiate from beneath the denim of his damp jeans and grind your hips against his.

“Ahh,” he groans, the friction making him squirm.

“What’s wrong?” you ask shyly, your eyes searching his.

“You—I, ahh…”

You kiss him again, slowly peeling off your shirt, breaking the kiss only for a second as it’s finally off.

“Kevin,” you breathe, his lips attacking your newly exposed skin.

Your hand tangles in his soft curls and the boom of the rainstorm hitting the shed’s tin roof matches your heartbeat.

He sucks on your collarbone and you feel down his biceps, his hands tickling your sides.

You search for the bottom of his shirt before yanking it off of him.

Pushing him back until he lies on the floor, you make sure he’s watching you before running your hand down your chest and stomach, stopping at your jeans’ buttons.

Undoing them slowly, you smirk as you see Kevin moistening his lips with his tongue.

Twisting your body as best you can, you kick your jeans away as soon as they’re off and lower yourself above him again.

Kissing his bare stomach, your fingers scrabble with his buttons and losing patience, he helps you.

“Taking clothes off has never been so hard,” he laughs, trying to lighten the situation.

You love how Kevin makes it so easy and comfortable, and you know this isn’t awkward.

It’s your first time being intimate with him and before this moment, you weren’t necessarily sure about how much you wanted this.

But now you know for sure that this is what you want more than anything in your life.

He kicks his pants away and sees the hesitation in your face.

“What’s wrong?” he asks, propping himself up on his elbows.

“Nothing.” You shake your head and rest your hands on his shoulders, touching your lips softly to his.

Occupying his mouth with yours, you unlatch your bra and throw it to meet with your other articles of clothing.

He pushes you back and you lay down on the blanket, the warmth soothing your back.

He loops his thumbs around at your underwear and tugs gently, guiding your legs out of them.

Your body trembles, no longer in fear but in desire to feel him.

Taking a hold of the elastic of his boxers with your toes, you push them off.

“Wow, that’s a skill I didn’t know you had,” he laughs, leading his legs out of his last article of clothing.

You look down, biting your lip as a blush forms on your face, taking in his exposed body.

“Hold on,” he says. You watch him crawl a little towards the picnic basket and pull out a small packet.

He slides the protection on and you watch him, twirling your hair in your fingers.

He smiles at you once it’s on and hovers above you.

Setting his lips over yours, he kisses you softly.

Deepening the kiss, your tongue glides over his lips and he parts them to allow your tongue entrance.

You feel his hand traveling down your stomach and your inner thigh, and you spread your legs slowly.

His hands are warm and his touch makes your body quiver.

You sigh into the kiss, your fingers tracing patterns on his biceps.

Thunder booms outside and the rain begins to pour harder.

Breaking the kiss, he looks at you and waits.

“What?” you ask, your brow furrowing in worry.

“I-I’m sorry if this isn’t the perfect place for this. I’d understand if you didn’t wa—”

You place a finger over his lips, immediately silencing him.

“Anywhere, Kevin,” you smile. “Anywhere with you is beyond perfect.”

He smiles at you and kisses you again.

You feel his hands on your thighs as he positions them around his waist, helping him as best you can.

Calming your nerves with deep breathing, you wait.

His lips and tongue attack your neck and your hand rakes through his hair.

“Kevin,” you breathe, ready to take him in.

You feel his head nod slightly and gasp when you feel him enter you slowly.

He sees a flash of pain wash over your face and he stops, allowing you to adjust to him.

You lick your lips and nod your head, your body now begging for him.

Placing his hands on your hips, he moves slowly and gently.

“Mm,” you breathe, readjusting your hips.

The added friction causes him to emit a groan and you feel him quicken his pace.

“Tell me what you want,” he says softly, his voice barely above a whisper.

“I-I like that,” you say, your breath caught in your throat.

His pace picks up and you release a low moan, his hips hitting yours softly.

“Ahh, Kevin, yes.”

He lowers his body closer to yours, his lips tickling a sensitive spot on your chest.

“Mm, yeah…”

You tighten your legs around his waist and bring him further into you.

The added pressure makes him moan and he nips lightly at your skin.

“F-Faster,” you say and he quickly obliges to your needs.

“Here? L-Like that?” he says, his voice sounding odd.

“Ohh, yes, Kevin. Right there.”

You hook your ankles around his back and his thrusts start to become more aggressive.

Circling your hips against his, the odd motions make you both groan.

The rain pitter-patters against the roof like a song playing over and over in your head.

Kevin rotates his hips against you and he hits a bundle of nerves that make you scream his name.

“Ahh, Kevin, like t-that… again.”

He does as he’s told and your body begins to heat up.

He looks up at you, sweat dripping down his temples.

Lifting your hands to his head, you run your fingers through his hair and tug gently at his curls.

Looking into his eyes, you smile at him and he mouths, ‘I love you,’

Not trusting your voice, you mouth the same to him and let out a deep breath.

His hands slide up your sides and he kisses up your torso, making you squirm.

Hitting the right nerves multiple times, you feel yourself coming close to your end.

“Kevinn,” you moan lowly. “Oh God, you feel so good.”

“Right th—ahh… ahh, Kevinnn…”

Slamming into you roughly a few times, he grunts as he moves and your body, slick with sweat, convulses around him.

Letting out a soft whimper, your toes curl as you come to your end and you arch your back into him.

He slows down his pace until he lets himself go and collapses on top of you.

Kissing your chest softly, your breaths are in sync and you play with a curl that’s fallen in front of his eyes.

Recovering, you listen to the rain outside as it begins to slow down.

The dull light from the faint sunshine comes in through the painted-over windows and Kevin grabs a blanket from the picnic basket.

Draping it over the both of you, he pulls you to him and rests your head on his shoulder.

“It was perfect, Kevin.”

Kissing his chest, you trace small circles on his abdomen and feel his fingers running through your hair.

“No, you.”

“Hmm?” you ask confusedly.

You look up at him and smile when you see the satisfied shine in his eyes.

“You. You are the one that’s perfect.”
